“Mittelstand digital”: EASY is on board

“Digitale Langzeitarchivierung” (Digital long-term archiving) is the motto behind the free launch event for the nationwide “eKompetenz-Netzwerk für Unternehmen” (eCompetence Network for Companies) on 14th April 2015, between 10 am and 1 pm, at the German National Library in Frankfurt am Main. This event by the network, which is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, will kick-off a series of events on the topic of “Mittelstand digital” (Medium-sized companies go digital) aimed at small and medium-sized companies. Small and medium-sized companies have the opportunity to find out about various aspects concerning digital preservation, in particular the available software and file formats.

Rainer Berndt, Project Manager at EASY SOFTWARE AG, will be there on 14th April, speaking on the topic of “Software-Auswahl “ (Choosing software). After all: “Audit-proof archiving and achieving added value with document management: Digital preservation offers lots of potential and optimisation opportunities for small and medium-sized companies too”, states Berndt.

With the help of digital preservation, space can be created in the filing cabinets and all of the relevant files can be archived for the long-term and made available for further processes. By using an efficient document management for various archiving software, companies have the opportunity to store data – such as invoices, contracts, emails and images – in an audit-proof way and to then use it in digital applications. In Frankfurt, Rainer Berndt will explain what you need to take into account when it comes to choosing the software.
